Echinocactus palmeri (ingens) is a singular barrel cactus that is has straight brown spines and brown horizontal stripes on the blue-green ribs. It will develop light tan color wool on top, which complements the browns. Echinocactus palmeri is cold hardy to the mid-20s. It maintains its globular barrel shape to maturity and can get quite large. A mature single stem Echinocactus palmeri can grow in habitat to be 7 feet tall by 4 feet wide.
